Durability
HTL equipment is built to last. Our company was one of
the first in the industry to introduce 3 years warranty
covering the pipettes. We did this years ago because we were
confident of the performance of our products even after long
and extensive usage. In fact if HTL pipette is used and
maintained in accordance with its manual it would last a lot
longer than declared 3 years*.

Solid components
HTL pipettes base on well proven constructional concept
of the most popular pipettes on the market. The application
of solid, but light plastic handle combined with highest
grade steel components (calibration screw, springs and low
volume pistons) results in high mechanical and chemical
durability of our products. There is no pipette which would
withstand all chemical and mechanical hazards, but the
experience of our dedicated users show that in the most
severe environment HTL pipettes shall last longer than
plastic or aluminum products of most of other manufacturers.
Robust Shafts
– breaking shafts is the most common problem faced by all
professionals working with the pipettes. When pipette is
dropped or swung during tip sealing, the breakage may occur.
All newest versions of HTL pipettes (LAB MATE+, MULTI MATE+, CLINIPET+, DISCOVERY+, EPA PLUS®, V3) are equipped with the
shafts manufactured of PVDF. This space age material
guarantees highest mechanical durability of the shaft and
and lowest durability deterioration under the influence of
commonly used aggressive substances. In order to make sure
tha only shafts of the highest robustness parameters are
assembled with our pipettes we introduced a frequent shaft
durability test to the range of tests applied during our
quality control procedure.
UV resistance
HTL pipettes are designed to withstand numerous
sterilizing cycles. All HTL pipettes can be sterilized with
UV beams. Neither reproducibility nor durability of the
components deteriorate even after intense and lengthy UV
exposure.
Autoclavability
Most of HTL pipettes are resistant to autoclave
sterilization. LAB MATE+, V3 Series and EPA PLUS® pipettes are
equipped with autoclavable shaft assays. All components (shafts,
tip ejectors) of these pipettes which might come in contact
with potentially hazardous liquids or vapors can be
autoclaved at 121°C
1Bar. It is just enough to unscrew the pipette shaft and put
it with all inner components in to the autoclave.
Disassembling of the pipette and autoclaving of the shaft
assay does not require post assembly calibration.
The
DISCOVERY+ Series pipettes are designed to be fully
autoclavable. Effective autoclaving requires the user only
to loosen the shaft nut and put the pipette as a whole to
the autoclave. Unlike other pipettes claimed to be “fully
autoclavable”, HTL pipettes do not require the calibration
check after autoclaving. They would aspirate within declared
range after autoclave sterilization without re-calibration.
We recommend however that the random checks (every 10 cycles)
are performed if the pipette is autoclaved frequently.
